-
What is silver clay?Silver metal clay is manufactured with a mixture of silver particles, organic plant based binder, and water. This clay material can be molded, shaped, textured easily. It is then dried and fired as it turns in to fine silver(999).
-
Is this beginner friendly?Yes! Silver clay is a very beginner friendly material, our professionals will also be there to help you succeed.
-
What is the material of the jewelry I am creating?Created from silver clay, the final product you receive will be our silver, also known as fine silver or 999 silver (99.9%pure silver). It tarnishes much slower than sterling silver, which is 92.5% silver and typically 7.5% copper. Pure silver is hypoallergenic and is less likely to cause allergic reactions, making it a good choice for those with metal sensitivities.
-
What are the differences between basic package and extra silver package?Basic package includes 5g of silver clay, which usually is just enough to make 1 ring or 1 pendant. If you would like to make a thicker ring or an extra piece of jewelry, you could get 10 grams of silver clay by choosing the extra silver clay package.
-
How long will the process take?Around 2-3 hours, depending on the complexity of your work.
-
When can I receive the final product? The same day! After you create your piece, we will fire your work on spot, which you will then polish and bring home right away🖤
-
Does the ring sizes matter on what package I should take?Yes, we highly recommend choosing the Extra Silver Package if your ring size is 21 or larger (9.5 in US size). Larger ring sizes require more silver clay to create a sturdy and well-proportioned ring. If you choose to stay with the Basic Package, your ring will have to be made thinner to stay within the material limit meaning that there will be a higher risk of breaking, especially with regular wear.
-
Are thinner rings more likely to break?Yes, we recommend all customers to make rings that are at least 6 mm wide, and 4 mm thick, for it to be strong and less likely to break. Thinner rings are still possible to make, but we ask you to handle it with more care to prolong its lifespan!
-
Does silver jewelry break over time?As silver is a relatively soft material, it is not uncommon for it to wear and tear. Due to the nature of silver, it is indeed susceptible to damage. We suggest you to avoid subjecting your jewelry to pressure and handle it with care.
